My photos from Peter Gabriel's „New Blood“ show on Saturday in Cologne.
Not only does Peter have one of the most stunning voices in rock/pop history, he’s also one of the few „real“ people in the business. No matter how perfect the show may be, it’s always the person Peter Gabriel that shines. Humble, friendly, respect…ful towards his audience as well as towards his musicians. He took the time to prepare all his announcements in German, and to introduce each and every musician of the entire „New Blood Orchestra“. Respect also shines through his interpretation of his favorite songs by other people (Never thought I’d ever see PG do a cover show!) while he’s completely „in the zone“, performing. Three (!) hours of quiet, thoughtful melancholic minor tunes, during some of which you could actually hear a pin drop, and a couple of PG’s own songs, arranged with orchestra, formed a memorable evening. While my pictures aren’t very good, I post them here to give you a small impression of the visual bits of that evening. Enjoy. :-)
